Society often judges individuals based on its own standards. For Joe il-Landa, his only companion is his dog. He attempts to find acceptance and belonging by joining a group of friends whose primary activity is gambling for money. Gambling forms the core of this group's interactions.

Initially, Joe is somewhat welcomed into this circle. However, the situation takes a drastic turn when the money starts to dwindle, and fortune begins to fade. What unfolds when the group's financial resources diminish? What happens when luck turns against them?
